Location

Referred to by the classic Greek poet Homer as “the young Dawn with finger tips of rose `{`that`}` lit up the world,” the goddess Eos opens the gates of heaven for her brother, the Sun (Helios). She rides a rose-colored, purple or golden chariot drawn by white horses. Her yellow robe is embroidered with flowers. She is a supernaturally beautiful woman, crowned with the large white-feathered wings of a bird.
